We’d love you to enjoy that side of the island too. A whole-house villa is a different kind of stay from a hotel. You get the entire house and look after yourselves while you’re here. Here are the sleeping arrangements, facilities, and things to pack for your stay.

Two bedrooms, a loft, and room for seven

The seven-guest limit includes infants sharing a bed with a parent. There are two bedrooms and a loft reached by a ladder. Bedding is two queen beds, one double folding bed, and two double air mattresses.

Two bedrooms with doors means early sleepers and night owls can each have their own room, which can help when everyone keeps different hours. The loft is ladder access, so if you’re traveling with small children or anyone who’d rather not climb, plan on the bedrooms. The beach is a minute away, but not visible from the house

There is no sea view from the rooms, but the beach is about a minute away on foot. Beach before breakfast, back for a shower, no car involved.

No TV, no pajamas

The TV is missing on purpose. We’d rather the evenings went to talking with the people you came with. Bring your own device if you want video or music. There’s no sleepwear either. Pack your own; a light travel set takes almost no room.

A real kitchen and a washer-dryer

The kitchen has an induction cooktop, a fridge, a rice cooker, a microwave, an electric kettle, and basic cookware, enough to cook proper meals from whatever you buy on the way in. The washer-dryer comes with detergent and dries as well as washes, so on a longer stay you can pack fewer clothes than nights. The full list is on the room page.

The bathroom and Wi-Fi

There’s one toilet, with a heated bidet seat, so a group of seven will want to plan the morning. Wi-Fi is available, but we don’t guarantee speed or stability. If you need a connection for work calls, consider a backup option before traveling.

A few requests during your stay

No smoking or vaping anywhere, inside, in the garden, or around the building. No pets. Quiet after 10 p.m., out of consideration for the neighbors. Sort your household waste; there’s a guide inside. Please read the house rules before your stay. Check-in is from 3 p.m. and check-out is by 11 a.m. If you’ll be early or late, a quick message helps us plan.

Decide dinner before you cross the bridge

The island has cafes and restaurants, but each keeps its own days and hours. If you want to eat out, look up the place on its own site or social media before you set off. If you’d rather cook, shop around Nago before you cross; it’s the reliable option. We also offer BBQ and meal options. Getting here

One option is to rent a car at Naha Airport and drive north; there’s parking at the villa. What you need to drive in Japan depends on the country that issued your license, so read your rental company’s requirements before you travel. Japan drives on the left. Without a car, the Yanbaru Express Bus Santo Line reaches the Kouri area, though groceries and outings are much easier with a car. Some shops here take cash only, so carry some yen.
